If the case is registered under Section 194(2) of the BNS, it concerns affray—fighting in a public place causing disturbance of public peace. The punishment can extend to one month’s imprisonment, or fine up to ₹1,000, or both. If you want to know how to get the case resolved, first obtain the FIR/complaint and the exact sections invoked. Depending on the facts and evidence, appropriate remedies may include compounding where legally permissible, discharge, or quashing/other appropriate proceedings. Do not admit allegations or sign any statement without reviewing the FIR and case papers.

If you believe the police have deliberately registered a false case, please share the FIR copy and details of the sections invoked. The remedy may include seeking appropriate relief before the higher police authorities or the competent court, depending on the facts. We can examine the FIR and advise you on the proper course of action.
