Now I have 2 cases on my head. my family has 1 own house and property is not on my name. Currently court has asked to present my assets and liabilities. hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, yes it's a basic procedure for the court to demand information on your assets and liabilities, the information is to attach or liquidate your assets and pay alimony to your wife and monthly maintenance, buying a car will not affect the case in any way, thank you, you can contact me for further clarifications, thank you

As mandated by the order passed by the supreme court in Rajnesh, whenever the question of maintenance is raised in a matrimonial proceedings both parties should file an affidavit of assets and liability. The said affidavit is sought to help the court in fixing the maintenance and amount and in case of false information , the court can proceed to file a case for perjury.
