Seeking Mutual consent divorce
20-Jan-2025 (In Divorce Law)
My husband has filed for divorce, I dint appear in the court so far. Now I have decided to go for mutual consent divorce. As iam unable to afford lawyer fees Can I get a lawyer who renders free legal service. In this regard I have already approached district legal services last week. They are yet to provide me a lawyer. I reside in old airport road near hal, It would be helpful if I get lawyer especially who can be accessed easily, in the sense who is staying near by my area
if you are husband has filed for divorce and you are also consenting for that all that you can do is ask for a fair settlement of alimony or maintenance. The legal services authority has no obligation to provide you with a liar who lives nearby to you so that he is accessible , so my advise used to go along with any lawyer who is allotted to you.
Dear Sir,
You may contact District Legal Services Authority and request them to provide a list of Advocates who have consented to extend free legal service and who are situated nearby your house. Instead you may conduct your case by yourself as Party-in-Person because the first option provided under the Family Act is that the litigant should be allowed to be represent herself before the Family Courts.
