Seeking Advice on Mutual Divorce in India and Associated Legal Matters

16-Sep-2024 (In Divorce Law)
Dear Sir/Madam, My spouse, child, and I live in Europe and have mutually decided to divorce. Based on lawyer’s advice, we have two options: 1. Both visit India and finalize the divorce within a week. 2. I grant Power of Attorney to a relative. I have a few questions: • Is it possible to finalize a mutual divorce in 1-2 weeks? • Are there any legal aspects I should consider? • Should I take any precautions due to trust concerns? Thank you for your assistance.

Dear Sir, First option of visiting both of your physically is practicable and the family court judge may consider and grant mutual divorce. Or get file mutual divorce with Power of Attorney and then present before the Court on the day of compromise. Hope it is plain mutual divorce without any complications like giving and taking of alimony or jewelry etc
