I am second wife of my husband. When we had got married, It was unknown to me that he was already married. When I came to know all these things I interrogated him and he manipulated me that they are not have good relationship and he is gonna file the divorce against him . But nothing happened so I informed his wife. But she did not take any action. Recently his wife has threatened my husband that she is gonna file the case etc but nothing. I have been given some kind of proofs where I can see that they are having problems and his wife is threating him and all. But result is zero. My husband and me are not living together as well for the last two years and this is all going on. Now I am tired. I just want get out of this shit officially. So my question can I file for divorce or wat? Please suggest. We have got married in Hindu rituals.

Under Section 494 of the Indian Penal Code, if a person marries a second time, without a divorce, while their spouse is alive, the marriage is considered bigamy, which is a punishable offense. They can file a complaint under Section 415 that provides conditions on 'cheating'. it is illegal.

No you can't file for divorce as your marriage is null and void from the inception of marriage and so you have to file for declaration that your marriage is null and void. but for that you have enough evidence of the first marriage of your husband.
