Query about litigation cost sought via alimony pendente lite petition

12-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Is it mandatory for a husband/man to pay litigation cost even if the wife/woman or her father is financially capable and is employing the service of more than one advocate to fight the divorce case filed by the husband/man? I am a Hindu by religion and our marriage is registered under the Special Marriage Act.

No.....court will award the reasonable expenses..... however its at the court discretion. And both parties will be heard before doing so. Hence it will depend on the submission. Either way maintance would mean the basic expenses.

If the wife is earning she can not seek payment of bills of her advocates by her husband who has filed divorce case. The court will decide the admissibility of any compensation /cost after it is satisfied about the claims .
