I have filed for divorce from my wife and currently she is living in my house with her child. She has been mentally abusing me from the start of our marriage. This has come to an extent where I have to put a door in between our rooms and now I have to be a guest in my house. The moment I ask her about divorce she threatens me either to kill herself by blaming me or to file a case of domestic violence against me. I don't want to live with her but she is not moving out and even after knowing that I don't earn much she asks me to give 40% of my salary to her when at the end of month I suffer. She has her own family house. My lawyer is also of not much help now as he is asking me to wait for the dates. Please note she had an extra marital affair and after that she was pregnant due to which I asked her to abort but she denied. As I don't have proof for all this hence, my lawyer asked me to drop this from petition. I doubt about the child but I won't mind to educate him.

I will suggest to move with case on the ground of cruelty and go with the procedure of court. And if you are dam sure that this is not your child alleged with the grounds of adultery. If she is giving you pain then you should become great pain for her.

since you have already filed a divorce petition in the court you need to arrogantly deal with the matter in the court and prove your case. secondly you can also involved your in laws in the matter and ask them to take her away from the house. if she is threatening for committing suicide you need to install cctv cameras in your part of the house. you need to be strong and first take control of the situation. file a case of adultery against your wife's lover to start with. secondly, amend you petition and add adultery as a ground for divorce. you can file an application in court to get a DNA test of the child done so that it will be a concrete evidence to support your theory.
