Petition filed in Court but now converting to Mutual

06-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
This is about a family friend who had made a divorce petition, but subsequently on the date when they were asked to appear before the counsellors initially, they then signed on a mutual consent petition agreeing to and now have been asked to reappear before the court in October. Can you suggest what could be the possible next steps?

If counsellor had submitted report before court that parties agree to convert petition into mutual terms. Both parties should prepare for final affidavits and application of wave of cooling period along with independent affidavits.

Dear queriest,as per your query you have mentioned that you have signed mutual consent divorce then you have to present before thr court for verification on thr first date and file consent terms with the petition and on the last date you need to affidavit of the both the parties wherein the court considers the same and pass final decree.

Have they signed for Mutual Divorce Petition? If yes, then they have to reappear after six months before the counsellor, to express their firm mindset, whether they want to give Divorce to each other or not!
