Nephew's Divorce Case . Got Married In 2014

Hi, my nephew is going through a divorce case and for which the girl is asking for maintainence but if we file for mutual divorce then can we continue with the same case or do we have to file another one ? If yes then how long would it take if the girl has been living separately from the past 5 years
the mutual divorce case is a separate case from the maintenance case . if you want to pay maintenance then you will go with another case in the Court . at the end you got some relief from the High Court where you are living .
