Need mediator to have mutual communication and demonds on relationship

As a software engineer, I own a house in the outskirts of Bangalore, and my spouse works in HR. However, she keeps insisting that we move to the city, causing me considerable mental distress. Additionally, she demands that I shoulder all the expenses and prohibits any family member, including my mother, from living with us. Furthermore, her family threatens to demand maintenance in case of a divorce. In response, I have requested that she pay 50% of the rent. Is my request unreasonable?

Even both of you are joint owners of the residence your wife is not justified in Law in prohibiting your parents living with you or visiting you. You can legally demand your wife to bear equitable if not equal share of rent or other domestic expense. You better prepare and equip yourself suiitably for the threat of demand of maintenance,

if you facing this kind of problem from your wife than you can file divorce case and she can file maintenance case against you but she will not get any thing from you as she also working lady getting sufficient salary
