Need clarification regarding compensation

20-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife asks for divorce but I don't want to give. I like to live together. We've 2 year old daughter. She said she is going to file for divorce. Should I need to give her compensation even if she alone decides for divorce?

sir if you are ready to live together and your wife is filing divorce without proper reason, then your wife cannot claim maintenance from you. only when you are not ready to live with your wife or when you are treating your wife with cruelty she may get maintenance and also file for divorce

yes , you will be liable to pay maintenance for your daughter and if your wife is not working you have to pay maintenance to her and if she is working then it's subject to the way of contesting the case whether you are liable for the maintenance or not..
