If the case is registered under section 498a, 324 of ipc then fir will be registered on you. Next you should apply for bail. If the case is compromised inside the station without filing any fir on you then there is no need of applying bail. If you're comfortable to stay with your wife without any problems then continue your matrimonial life.

if you don't want to accept her, you have to face criminal case. to not to accept her, you have to file divorce petition before appropriate Court for taking divorce, with grounds. she can file maintainence and DVD cases also against you in appropriate Court. you need to face those cases.
