My wife get maintenance now, she stopped working.

My wife filed sec9, I filed sec13 1 ia. Court counseling failed.No kids. She was working women before separation(feb2022) earning upto lakh per month. I have private job. Now she is not working from last 2years. still she get maintenance if she ask court? Any specific time period if she was not working, will get maintainenace give to her?

1. you can approach before the high court to reduce the maintenance or not to get maintenance. 2. you have to take contention that your wife was working early..but not now 3. she will get maintenance till divorce and unless she gets remarried

Hi, If your wife is qualified enough to earn good money for her livelihood and there is any evidence that she was working earlier and was earning handsome salary and left only at the time of maintenance then you can bring the fact before the Hon’ble court with evidence and state that only for taking maintenance she left her job. So many Supreme Court judgments are there where if wife is educated and professional qualified to earl then there is denied or less maintenance is granted.
