.My wife filed sec9, I filed sec13 1 ia. Court counseling failed. I am not ready to continue with her. No kids. She was working women before separation earning upto lakh per month. I have private job. still she get maintenance? Provide the details to find some other liabilities which may let me escape to pay lesser maintenance to my wife.

1. you have to produce before the court that the income is reduced and due to this situation reduces the maintenance amount. 2. you can appeal before the high court to reduce the maintenance considering your wife's income and reduce your net income. 3. The court will see the income of the parties, usually working ladies will not get maintenance.

if she is working at present and it is sufficient for her to maintain herself in the same standard of living as you are enjoying or if she is having and earning more then you or if she is living in adultery or without reasonable cause she is residing seperately then the court can deny her maintenance, secure her income and assets details by filing application in court like income tax returns, property details etc,
