It sounds like a challenging situation involving serious family conflict and potential issues of domestic violence. You may consider advising your client on the following steps:
1. Mediation or Counseling: If possible, encourage mediation with a professional counselor or family therapist to attempt to resolve misunderstandings and rebuild communication, especially with the husband.
2. Legal Options: If the conflict continues to escalate, filing a complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act might be appropriate. This can provide legal protection and may address abusive language and any physical altercations experienced by the client or her family.
3. Custody and Support for the Child: Since there is a young child involved, understanding rights concerning child custody, maintenance, and support is essential. It’s advisable to gather any evidence (such as messages, call records, or witness statements) to support the case.
4. Protection Orders: In cases where the safety of the client or her family is at risk, applying for a protection order may help prevent further harm.
Each case is unique, so it would be best to assess the specifics before proceeding. Legal counseling could provide a clearer path forward based on her situation and goals.
