My lawyer lost my divorce papers and now doesnt respond to the calls.

I got a divorce by mutual consent from Family Court, Bandra Mumbai and have received the email copy of judgement and decree. My lawyer has lost the original copy of judgement and decree in a rickshaw and has shared a copy of the FIR she filled with policeI am chasing her to get a duplicate copy but receive no response from her. Is there a way to apply for duplicate copies through another lawyer.

There is no need for you to hire another lawyer for getting a certified copy of judgment and decree if you have time to go yourself and make the application for it in the office of concerned family court. And one the copy is ready in 10-15 days , you have to collect it by paying government charges.

Yes you may do it with the help of another advocate. You can apply for certified copy of the judgement and decree. You can also file it yourself before the court that has granted you the divorce. You must be having the details of the case, just apply for certified copy.

Dear Queriest yes it is possible since the order and decree has been passed by the court, you can visit the court and apply for a certified copy of the order and decree and you can recieve the same, for More information about the same kindly call me
