My husband and I had love marriage but soon after marriage he and his family started torturing me. They threatened to take my child also. For child's future, I tried to convince him to stay peacefully but my husband did not listen. He also has bad habits of drinking, flirting with women and family is supporting in this.nnI have filled for divorce and domestic violence. We live in a joint property for which EMI is paid by my husband. He troubles me daily even after filling cases, what can I do?

Dear Madam, You have to file police case under Section 498A of IPC read with Section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and teach him a lesson. Since he is drunkard as such you can claim child custody by filing another case against him. If you are not employed you can claim maintenance. Anyhow you can claim maintenance for your child etc.

you can file a criminal case against your husband and his relatives under section 498 A and further you can take protection order from court in domestic violence case and if they continue to torture they can be punished,hence if they continue there torture file 498 A case in police station.
