MY FATHER IS CHEATING ON MY MOTHER

I think it's been 12 -14 years now when my father cheated on her and he started another family with his second wife and my mother accepted it just because me and my brother were at veryl small age. Also now he stays with both family but at different place. Now what he is doing is he has started abusing my mother and he says 'she has no role and reputation in front of him and she can't even touch a single strand of his hair sh can't do anything'. These all are my father's word. Can anyone help pl
First clarification I need to know is whether you and your father to same religion and which religion? If your father has become abusive or violent question the existence and sacrifices of your mother then surely it comes under domestic violence. if you are a Hindu your father is also Hindu and he has married second woman then marriage is void in the eyes of law . The Hindu Marriage Act does not allow second marriage until and unless either of the spouse has obtained divorce has died your father if he is a Hindu then he second marriage is Null and void

Well, your Mother at the maximum can seek Divorce from your Father and other than that legally, she cannot do anything. Your Mother as an alternate option can apply for Judicial Separation from your Father.
