Mutual Divorce Issue as wife is changing her demands continuously

13-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)

Male 36, got married on 19th Jan 2021.Wife’s age 31. Both working in the same IT MNC company in Kolkata.Wife misbehaved with my mother several times and tried to poison my ears by complaining about my mother. We have been staying separately for over 15 months for the duration of marriage.Wife agreed for mutual consent divorce and initially demanded alimony of Rs.15 lacs which she has revised to Rs.20 lacs. She threatened about filing case for maintenance and harassment when I asked to reduce the money.She also demanded the full money to be paid on the day of filing the petition which is absurd.It looks like my wife and her money only wants to extract money from me without giving divorce.What is the best action I can take going forward?

keep record of all those threats and also extracts more such threats in due course. also file a restitution of conjugal right or a judicial separation or divorce petition against her and do not agree to any mutual divorce unless you both agrees on a term. she can demand money and you are bound to pay but let the amount be decided by the LD. court and not by your wife. you have some options to delay the entire payment schedule when she wants to delay it too. It's all about money you said. we can delay it to that extent that your wife will be frustrated and seek for mutual settlement. what you need an expert in this field sir.
