Sir/Madam, For a divorce with mutual consent, the couple has to establish a 12 month separation period (will discuss over a call), which is then followed by a 6 months cooling off period. However, the Hon’ble Supreme Court has recently ruled that the said period of 6 months can be waived on a case to basis. As discussed, the formalities i.e., drafting, reviewing, finalising and instituting a mutual consent divorce petition can be concluded in a weeks time and after 6 months (if you wish to give it time) the matter may take another 2 months, in all I’d say about 9 months to a year. However, should you wish to also bring to a conclusion the entire case in a short span of time, you may have an opportunity to do so, i.e., by taking shelter of the above ruling to have the 6 months period waived off. In which case, the matter can be concluded in a month or two. My professional fee for conducting a mutual divorce would be Rs. 60,000/- and any out of pocket expenses will be at actuals. Please get in touch to discuss further.

It will take six months to 8 months.. that's the fastest any court will grant as six months time is given for cooling period... secondly cost will depend on lawyers standing at the bar and his status in bar.... approximately 30000- 1 lakh any lawyer will charge

Typically divorce by mutual consent takes about 6-7 months as there is a waiting period. But if you can qualify for the exception I.e give proof that you both have been residing separately for more than 18 months (address proof, employment letter etc.) then it can be concluded within 30-45 days also. However it also depends on which law your marriage was registered under (Hindu marriage Act, special marriage act, etc.)
