Mother of a child seeking divorce advice

25-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I live separately from my husband since the past 4 years due to irreconcilable differences, instances of harassment, intimidation by my In-laws till the time I had to leave the house with my 9 year old child and started living with my parents after 11 years of marriage. I have since been taking care of the child by myself with no support financial or any other kind. I have reason to believe that there has been conspiring by the family to ensure the marriage breakdown, I also have substantial evidence to prove this. I also have reason to believe that my husband has another affair which he plans to turn to marriage, & also have evidence to prove this fact. I (Hindu, Brahmin) was made to convert to Christianity (Protestant) to be able to marry. I’m also aware that my husband made all possible attempts to avoid any discussion, of the issue since the day I left, and continues to make attempts to ensure he will try and gain custody of the child and also avoid any financial support.

As per your narration, if you have sufficient evidence then you may immediately file for contested divorce on the ground of cruelty, desertion etc. and also claim maintenance for your child and for you.
