13-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My MIL and husband maliciously sent me to my maternal home in Aug21 and didn't let me return. They had all my belongings and jewellery. I somehow managed to return to matrimonial home in Nov but since then they were not letting me stay, torturing me and not giving me access to my room. They left me alone without giving main door keys after 10 days and went away. I couldn't step out for 2 months and in Dec end I changed main door lock after informing nearest police station. MIL came home and hit me after that, filed false FIR that I broke into her house from outside. I also complained to police but my complaint us not being entertained. Meanwhile, MIL had already filed a civil suit in sep when I was away under section 151 to restrict my entry in matrimonial home. Husband filed divorce in sep and notice for both cases was not served to me although 4 dates happened in civil suit and 2 dates happened in divorce case. Their main motive is to somehow throw me out from matrimonial home. Pls g

It’s better for you to file a DV case against your husband and in-laws about the I’ll treatments faced by you and claim maintenance every month and lump some alimony in the later stage. You must also file a FIR under 498a/406 to claim your jewellery and other belongings.
