Mental torture by husband and his family to throw me out of the house

I am a Hindu by religion. My husband and in-laws has put mental and physical harassment on me. They have tried all cruel, cheap methods to throw me out of the house. They are ready to give divorce but they don't want to give alimony and challenging to go to court. I am planning to file FIR, will that be a correct decision? How much time will it take to get justice?
