Matrimonial Issue - Need legal advice

13-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi Lawyer, I am married for 10 years. I have 9 years old son. My husband is short tempered, out of anger, he scolds me, insults me for no reason. If he faces small issues like bike failure, etc, he keeps blaming me for everything and scolds me for everything. Sometimes he leaves me mid road, humiliated in front of others, breaks items at home. He has never hit me. I am working woman. Only because of my son, i have been restricting myself. I am really scared that if i apply divorce, he will not leave me alone. Rather torture me, humiliate me and take away my son. What's the procedure to get divorce pls and get child custody. I am really afraid that his anger would affect my son as well. Also, we have few properties that we brought after marriage only. He didn't have any properly before marriage. What will happen to those? After applying divorce, I can't stay in the same home(which is our own house) and don't have any other place to go. No support from parents. THey keep saying adjust.

Dear Madam, I can understand your situation. Male dominated society. Now Indian laws are in favour of married women. You can get permanent custody of child and House for residence. Your husband must stay out side. Nothing to worry. Please collect evidence.

your main concerns are custody of your son, properties and your house. All these can be taken care of by proper planning- you can safely go ahead and take legal action. There are enough safe guards in Law to handle situations like these.
