Married in INdia divorced in DUbai

Hello !
I am Indian citizen and my ex-husband is NRI (residing in Dubai, UAE) from 2 decades. Both of us are Hindus.
However we were married in India and the same was registered in India in 2019. We have a marriage certificate as well.
In 2020, we got divorced by mutual consent in Dubai, UAE. We have also received the decree for the same.
KIndly let me know if the same is valid in India, or should I file afresh application for divorce in India ? Also how do I cancel my marriage certificate and re-marry basis this.

You need to file fresh mutual divorce petition in india then court will pass divorce later you can cancel the registered marriage certificate in concern registration office they can't accept other court decree

The divorce obtained in UAE is very much valid as per law. Hence, you can re marry and need not to worry about it . If it is disputed by your ex husband in India if any case then you present the decree of divorce here in Indian jurisdiction court and defend your case or validity of divorce

In last paragraph you have asked how can you remarry by cancelling the marriage certificate on the basis of the divorce that you obtained in the court of Dubai . where you intent to settle down and live finally? . whether it is in Dubai or in India ? if you want to come back to India I need to see the photocopy of the te see the divorce decree that you got from Dubai.

Hi,
There is no necessity to apply for divorce once again in India but some time Marriage Register are not accept the Divorce order of other countries and they insist order copy of Indian Court to cancel the Marriage certificate issued by them. If it is thing then you have to get proper order from the Court in India to cancel your Marriage Certificate
