You can file a case for annulment of marriage if the tenure is within a year. Also recovery of the gifts are not maintainable in law. It could be strategised as per discussion. Feel free to contact Thanks

Hi In case the marriage did not take place and you have still given the gifts. You need to send them a legal notice to return all the gifts and articles that you had given to the girl for the marriage. Feel free to get in touch to discuss further

Gifts given to girl form part of her streedhan. streedhan is Property of the girl and cannot be recovered from her unless she voluntarily gives it back. both husband and wife can file for divorce through mutual consent wherein both parties can arrive upon terms of settlement. in the alternative, your son can file for divorce in India as well. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Hii Hope you are doing good. In such a case you can lodge an FIR under section 417, 420, 120B. Kindly share some more details as in where is the girl from. I mean is she still in the US. Where are her parents?

Before going legally it’s better to send them a legal notice regarding the same. And if you wish to go legal then you always forward a written complaint to the police station of your area for registration of FIR against them. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
