Yes. you will be required to pay maintenance to your wife, if she asks for. you can not deny your wife from maintenance on the ground that she is earning. for any further clarification please feel free to contact me.

on the above mentioned query the legal opinion is yes you have to pay the maintenance of your wife for the difference amount of both the salaries means you earned 35 lac per year and your wife earned 20 lac per annum so the difference amount is 15 lac. so as per law your wife can get maintenance from the difference amount of rs 15 lac. but at present in maintenance case both parties compulsorily file affidavit for their assets, salary in concern with a case law named Rajneesh vs Neha. And the concerned court have to consider the affidavits filed by the parties. And some of the cases in which the supreme court and the high courts of the various states held that if the wife is sufficiently educated and earn successfully then she could not entitled for maintenance.

aap kis jagah se baat kar rahe hain Agar aapki salary apni wife se kam hai to aapko maintenance Nahin pay karna padega Agar aapke salary aap aapki wife se aapki jyada hai to aapko maintenance pay karna padega aur Agar aapki wife ki salary aapse jyada hai to aap apni wife se bhi maintenance lene ke hakdar hain kar sakte hain
