Maintenance to wife in case Husband is dependant on children

Hi Sir, I have quarry reg: DVC my relatives case, husband and wife lived together 30yr they are having 4 girls and 1 boy (3 girls got married), husband is govt employee, now wife want to take divorce from him, she is staying out side from past 1 1/2 yr, she sent a DVC notice to hime asking half salary for her maintenance, but children are dependent on father and they supporting to father only, my query is did wife get maintenance from his husband 1/2 salary are not?
Wife claim maintainance from husband when she unable to maintain her self only I. e., un earning wife only not half salary it will decided at the time of trial 2.you have to prove at the time of trial she left with out reason No maintenance

Wife will get maintenance and courts generally award maintenance on different parameters.
There is no fixed percentage of salary awarded as maintenance as the courts take in to account life style, health, Income earning potential, number of dependents of the husband in to account before awarding maintenance.
