Legal separation and child maintenance

I got married to a married man who was going through divorce process.It was an arranged marriage.we got after 2 years of marriage and we have a child.its been 4 years we got separated.Now he lives with his first wife and have a child.I want to know the legal process for the separation and for the child maintenance since he have not given anything till now
