Judgement of my Divorce case

16-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I had filed a petition for Divorce in the family court and now the case is disposed with Judgement issued. But even after two months of my case disposal, the Decree has not been passed. Kindly advise if the Judgement is sufficient for me or I need to get the Decree also.

Hello there. Judgment and decree of court are two different documents and have different values in the eyes of law. you must get decree from the court. Get it done. you will need it in future for official purposes.

Due to this covid situations many courts are not working in full fledged way. Decree is only necessary when you have to execute some order in execution proceeding. Otherwise Judgement is enough to show that now you are Divorced.
