Joint property - Rental income and property

Hi, My husband and I have a joint property in Delhi, what happens to the rental income and sale of the property if any after we divorce? is there any repurcussions if I remarry?

hello mam hru as i can see your query is concern tht about joint property. in the case you and your husband is going to get divorce then you both have decide that wo will own tht property at the time of divorce only because after getting divorce you can nit have any joint property as per law .

Hello ma’am. I have perused your query. Both you and your husband will be entitled to equal shares in the rental income and sale proceeds in case of a divorce. However, you can choose a mutually favourable division of assets by executing a settlement agreement at the time of initiating divorce proceedings. Hi, if the property is in joint names, then the income is also distributed in the property in the same proportions. there are a lot of options available for a female like the alimony amount, maintainence charges, in case of a child, expenses regarding school etc. but there are still a lot of questions which are required, like how the property was purchased? who paid for the property and are you both earning etc. marriage after divorce is a completely different thing altogether. if you are getting some monetary benefits continuously after divorce, they would not continue after remarriage. but I would still advice that you need personal advice one to one, rather than seeking certain answers on the net. feel free to get best legal help.
