I've been married in 2019 and i stayed at my husband's place approx 9 months only because of his and his family's indecent behavior, i won't go in much details but I've been staying at my parents house since 2020 and I've filed for divorce in the same year as well, my lawyer seems to be doing nothing, my husband keeps visiting my place and torturing me and my parents for which I filed an NC too but that didn't help as it was a family matter, police didn't help much either. My husband's actions are the same keeps visiting and torturing, using profanity language and isn't agreeing for divorce too nWhat can I do in these situations, I'm fed up and want to have a genuine opinion on this.

Hello, through your lawyer contact his lawyer and ask for one time settlement of amount and mutual consent divorce. If you have not filed maintenance then do this as soon as possible, if your husband is torturing you then file DV case and get protection order from magistrate court.

Well, I suggest you to lodge a Police Complaint again and this time, I will assist you in getting a Police Complaint filed which will ultimately result into lodging of FIR, which will compel him to grant you the Divorce for withdrawing Criminal case against him.
