Police generally do not interfere in custody or visitation matters, as these are decided by the family court. You can file a petition under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 or seek visitation rights in the family court, where the court can pass an order allowing you regular meetings with your daughter. In urgent cases, interim visitation can also be requested. The police will only act if there is an order from the court.

Police will not directly help your father meet your daughter as this is a family matter, not a criminal one. You need to file a petition in the Family Court under the Guardians and Wards Act for custody/visitation rights. The Court can grant you regular meetings, phone or video calls, and even temporary custody. Once a court order is passed, it becomes enforceable, and police are bound to help in its execution. Consult with me on call and we can file an application at the earliest.

Police does not have any power to direct Your wife to allow The child to meet you or Your family. Do take a detailed legal Consultation for Your case from an Advocate having expertise in matrimonial Litigation cases. You need to file a petition for child custody before the Family Court. Further since Your wife has left you and is staying alone you need to take certain precautionary measures under law to avoid future repercussions
