My would be wife is a glamour professional. She promises not to do any fashion related job after marriage. Is there any legal measures that I should take to safeguard myself before the marriage to happen?

you and your wife should have proper understanding , prenup is not legal in india and if you try to block her from doing her profession that may go against you in court of law its better you sought things between yourself properly

under hindu marriage act 1956 it is sacrosanct and is not amenable to any contractual obligation. while in muslim personal law of marriage it has been declared as a contract and therefore more flexible. special marriage act 1954 although is a secular legislation but it also doesn't recognize obligation for continuance of marriage beyond the scope of the act. hence in effect it means that in india as on date you cannot make a marriage conditional by any agreement which is not permitted by the statute. the only safeguard will be that you can get an agreement done legally and then claim mental torture for violation of the promise and seek divorce on the ground of mental cruelty.
