Is our marriage legal if we have not submitted intent or registered?

02-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am from Australia. I visited India and got married to my Indian husband under Arya Samaj ceremony. We never submitted the required ID documents, single status certificate or submitted the notice of intent to marry. We haven't been supplied a certificate from the priest and he never sighted my ID or the requirements that we were asked for as per Indian legislation. We have no marriage certificate given or government certificate. Is our marriage legal? its critical as the type of visa he has applied for means we can not be married. I have just been told the ceremony only needs to take place for it to be legal so I am trying to be certain

Dear queriest, as per your query you have mentioned about the fact that your husband has applied for visa and since you have doubt about your marriage it is suggested that you are not legally married its just you have performed marriage before the arya samaj Mandie which not have any legal support. you need to perform your marriage before the office of Marriage Registrar and get your marriage registered

Dear Querist,
Marriage as per hindu rituals are solemnized upon 7 pheres or saptapadi. If both are hindus and the above ritual has taken place, then your marriage as legal. But also it is important to get it registered.
