Is It Mandatory To Pay Alimony If We Go For Mutual Concent?

Hi we have been married for 8 months.. wife is blaming as mental harassment .. they are asking for mutual consent .. do I have to pay maintenance or alimony .. she is double degree holder her poor performance at studies has not fetched her any job we where also supporting with facility to go for training for 8 months ..

Hi...if it mutual consent divorce it is not mandatory to pay alimony or maintenance but you have to mention in the mediation agreement that there will be no claim from both side and there will be no future claim also from both side.

Dear Sir,
It all depends upon the wish of your wife. Normally Court will act as neutral party. If your wife and her relatives agree to go for mutual divorce without alimony then you may immediately file mutual divorce petition. If your wife insist for alimony then put a condition that if she remarries then she must return entire paid amount with interest.
