Is a marital settlement agreement legally valid as a proof for financial settlement between the couple before applying for a divorce or should it be done only through court?
It can be mention in divorce petition if you are filing for mutual consent or contesting divorce. Out of court settlement will be not binding you legally. it's better to settle before court through petition
