Informing Wife About Divorce In Advance

01-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife is staying at her parents home since 2 months. We both want divorce but her father is not ready. We have tried a lot of mutual divorce but our attempts have failed. We have also sent them a legal notice of which the time limit is over and I have not received any reply to it yet. I have informed my wife that I will be sending you the talaq nama as per the Muslim law in which the instructions will be mentioned and then her 3 months of iddat period will start. The reason I did this is that I want her to know in advance and I want to end this on a good and friendly note. I am also planning to keep her updated after the talaq nama goes and I will inform her as to how and when I will be returning her belongings. Have I done the correct thing because personally I do not see any issue in informing her on advance as she is my wife.

If your wife is consenting for divorce then it is advisable to get khulanama signed by her and then your sign acceptance of the same and thereby your marriage will get dissolve legally and according to sharia.

Yes you can move with said things as per shariat law, but don't go with thrice version as it is illegal now adays. You can also convince the opposite part for the process of khulanama and can move further.
