28-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My Ex has filed 2 cases against me. DVC and MC.1. She said she wont return the gold worth Rs 3.5 lakhsn2. She asked almony of Rs 5 lakhsn3. Took my household items worth Rs 40k and now asking Rs 20k extra saying items dont work.4. She says there is 1 ring + 1 bangle they gave my sister and want it backI agreed to the points 1, 2 and 3. But her point 4 is not correct. The bangle were already returnedLast week during the lok adalat I agreed to pay 3 lakhs for DVC and MC which i paid and closed DVC. I have to pay balance of 2 lakhs on 5th July when closing the Divorce case in another court. nnAn agreement was made by both lawyer to summarize and has point 3, 4 and 5. It says that i have to pay her balance 2L + 20k + 1 bangle + 1 ring. And it was written in tamil which i do not know to read. I have signed it on a stamp paper. After reaching home i realized that the statements are wrong. Now lawyer says that if i step back than i will lose the case. Please advise what to do?

now you can't change the agreement. you may hostile. it will take time to complete the entire proceedings. if you have proof to handed over the bangle the same may be produced before the court. otherwise you can file counter petition.

The only supporting point is that you do not know how to read in Tamil. In the said memorandum of understanding you can make changes by preparing another memorandum that is addition to the earlier one for the purpose of modifications. Actually you can raise the offence of cheating by wife.

Good morning ... you do not need to worry. Tell the lawyer that you have no way to arrange the money at the moment and that you will take the case to the appropriate court again and take the case to court.
