In laws and husband started demanding next day of marriage

31-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi! I got married on 12th December. On 13th December when i entered their home my sister in law and mother in law started asking for stuff and took all my jewellery and other belongings. This kept happening. My husband also demanded items his mother told him to. My mother in law asked for new items daily like air fryer, clothes for entire family, 5100inr per head and many other things. On 24th December when i opposed the same my husband dragged me and threw me out of the house and now his father is threatening my father for divorce and settlement. As they want more money from us. I don’t have even a single piece of clothing. They took my everything. Please advice.

These types of people should b behind the bars! You must immediately hire an advocate n get your complaint drafted in a legal way ! However before doing this step get all social people involved for one meeting And if that doesn’t work with these greedy people then go ahead with your legal complaints

Hi, You can file the complaint in the women cell of the concern district. Further you have a right to live in the shared household, they cannot illegally oust you from the matrimonial home. Thanks and regards Ramit Sehrawat Advocate

First of all lodge a CAW cell complaint against all the family members of your husband, including your husband. Secondly, after marriage you have the right to residence, they cannot chuck you out of the residence and if they are trying to threaten you then then lodge the complaint against all of them as mentioned. Please feel free to contact for any further legal assistance. Thank you
