I wanted to file contested divorce against my wife

I live in Maharstra and my wife is in different state,so i wanted to file contested divorce.
My query is as we both live in different states so do i need to "be present physically for every hearing in court" or "my family member can attend on behalf of me in court".
As i guess contested divorce takes a long time,as my wife refuses to give divorce,so what are the strong reasons & proof that i need to give to court.
My wife daily fights with me for silly reasons,scolds me & my parents & i have audio recordings as proof but is this only sufficient reason to get divorce,will my divorce be granted or dismissed by the court
