If the summons were sent to an address where you do not reside and were returned twice with the endorsement “door locked,” it is possible that you have not yet been validly served. However, you should immediately ascertain the details of the case to avoid any ex parte proceedings against you. Since the case is stated to be pending in the Lucknow District Court, you may search the case status on the Uttar Pradesh District Courts portal through the e-Courts system by entering your name, your husband’s name, or any available case particulars. If you are unable to locate the matter online, you may engage an advocate at Lucknow to inspect the court record and obtain copies of the plaint, petition, complaint, or other pleadings filed against you. You may also submit an application before the concerned court, after learning the case number, stating that summons were never served upon you at your actual residential or working address. Mention that your permanent address is in Delhi and that you are presently employed at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sitapur. If the court has not completed valid service in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 or other applicable law, you can seek an opportunity to appear and contest the proceedings. In case any ex parte order has already been passed due to non-appearance, appropriate legal remedies may be available for setting aside such order upon showing sufficient cause. Therefore, obtaining the case number and copies of the court record at the earliest should be your first priority.

As you have mentioned in your problem that a case has been filed by your husband against you in the Lucknow court, his relations have been repeatedly visiting your village address but due to your new address, they have been returned twice by the postman with the comment that the door is closed whereas your address at present is of DelhiAnd you are working in Sitapur in such a situation.
