What will be the difference and timeline and total cost involved in a mutual divorce case vs a one sided divorce. We have been married for 1.5 years and have never lived together since marriage.

Dear Madam in terms of timeline a mutual consent divorce is significantly faster typically concluding within six to eighteen months depending on the court and the mandatory cooling off period whereas a contested divorce can drag on for several years or even a decade because of the complexities of proving grounds for divorce and the potential for multiple appeals from either side the total cost for a mutual divorce is generally lower and more predictable because it involves fewer court hearings and less paperwork while a contested divorce is much more expensive due to higher legal fees for every appearance additional costs for gathering evidence and the financial strain of prolonged litigation which can vary greatly depending on the seniority of the lawyers hired

if you are going for mutual consent divorce both of you have to agree for divorce and all terms of settlement should be written and agreed , if both agree then a case can be filed for mutual consent divorce, the fees required for mutual consent are less , further if it is contested divorce it will cost more and may consume time of atleast 6 months to one year or more, for mutual consent it can be over in 2 months or maximum 6 months, mutual consent divorce an application need to be filed to waive the 6 months waiting period where by the mutual consent divorce can be obtained within 2 months or lesser time.

Hi , mutual divorce and contested divorce is there . In both divorce couples must married 1 year ago and that is mandatory. While compare with mutual divorce with contested divorce, mutual divorce is much more easy and time saving for court . The procedure in mutual divorce is easy .
