I want to divorce with my husband

27-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I love someone, but my parents forced me to marry another man. After marriage I left his home and staying at my parents house for four years. I don't want to live with him but my parents always force me to go to his house. And he don't want to give divorce as I am the only daughter of my parents. My parents don't support me but I want to end this marriage and want to start a new life. What Should I do now?

you must send a notice to your husband stating that you want a divorce and do not wish to continue and no one can force you for the same, you need to understand the technicality or else you will be trapped, in a legal battle for years, so better to cut it short and get relief.

So far I can understand it's just you who wants to end the marriage. in such cases you have to only go for a contested divorce. now for that you first have to file a case of judicial separation on any of the ground available and for which you qualify. when the court will grant you judicial separation and it continues for a year then you will get eligible for divorce without any further proof. the other way is to file for divorce directly but for that you need cogent proof and if you have enough reasons for that then you may go for divorce directly as well.

Yes ofcourse you can end it by filing for divorce since you were forcefully to to someone without your consent you can go for contested divorce if the other party is not ready for divorce or if the other party agrees then you can file for mutual divorce
