I need Legal help urgently for Domestic Issue

Hello Sir, I am a married lady from North Kolkata with a minor daughter. I am been neglected and beaten daily by my husband and in laws. My husband refuses to pay me any money for houseold affairs. I want to take a divorce but my husband opposes to the same and I am not allowed to leave my house. Can you please suggest how to get a divorce and file a criminal complaint against this ruthless man?

First file one complaint with the police at your local police station. if you can't go to the police station, write a letter describing your situation and get it delivered in some way. You can also take the help of a professional in drafting the said complaint. Once you intimate the police about the situation, this letter will act as strong evidence for future purposes and proceedings. You can file a divorce petition against your husband and if you can somehow manage to escape your matrimonial house you can also file a petition for maintenance for yourself and your minor daughter.

Approach the nearest Police Station and register a case of 498A on domestic violence however once the FIR is registered it is recommended to stay separate from your husband otherwise you might have to face further torture.
