I have filed contested divorce against my husband and we have a flat where we both are joint owners.

I have filed contested divorce against my husband and we have a flat where we both are joint owners. My lawyer has claimed the flat ownership and my husband is ready to give it. I don't want flat and I want money instead of it. Can I change my application or not ? If yes, will it create a wrong impression on my case ?

If you need cash instead of flat have talk of the record with party if is ready then there will be no issue otherwise you can claim only flat in which you have equal right. You can claim alimony inspite of cash.
