I am unable to hold a job due to marital discord and child care issues
17-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a mother of a child and also a doctor.
1. Due to constant conflicts in our marriage and my need to put my child first, my career growth has ceased totally. My husband doesn't participates in parenting and is busy progressing his own career at expense of mine. My work absolutely requires me to do night duties. So I need a steady support from my spouse/a reliable family member in order to keep 6 year old child safely. I have no cooperation from my spouse. I have to literally crush my self respect to go ask him for the help he may or may not give.
2. I want to go to my home town where I have my mother who can fill the gap. But my husband won't cooperate in that either. I want divorce too at some point but I before that I need a stable job. How do I proceed.
My husband understands that I cannot compromise my child's well being, so he takes advantage of my situation and is doesn't participate at all in parenting.

You can not force your husband to cooperate in the House Hold work including taking care of the child. But the same can be used as a ground in your Divorce Case. Take your mothers help with raising your child and when you're filing the case also seek for custody of the child as your husband is unable to take care of the child.
