You have remedies under criminal law u/s.498A IPC and under the Domestic Violence Act. File the complaint in the nearest police station where you are residing. If you are not allowed then call 100 for assistance of the police in the matter.

You can approach the nearest Women Police station and file a case of domestic violence against your husband.
Domestic violence includes physical abuse, emotional abuse and financial abuse.
No need for any hospitalistion or doctor records for filing a complaint.
Once you file a complaint, police will call for a counsellor who will record all of your statements and then police will summon your husband.
Once a case of domestic violence is filed, the courts can also issue protection orders for you and the protection orders can include financial, residential and physical protection also.
Also you can choose to contact your embassy and take up the matter with state government and central government of india.

a foreigner married to an indian citizen. it has been 9 month since my legal marriage but i have stayed with my husband a year prior to being married. he has repeatedly for two years shouted and called me names on a daily basis, there are 3 major occasions where his physical abuse really left marks on my body. i had never got any medical report for any physical abuse since my husband asks the doctor comes to the house to check and treat me. i tried to leave twice but the guards won't even let me out of the gate. i have photos to document the bruises and recordings of some fights. i wanted to now what my options are as a foreign citizen in india.

If you are false imprisonment. U better call up police or embassy or mail them with respective photos or documents. And try to reach women protection cell. And try to inform respective authority such as women welfare minister available in Twitter or Facebook or social media... Lastly u can submit the copy to TV channels and save yourself
