If you are beaten up, threatened or harassed in your home by a person with whom you reside in the same house, then you are facing domestic violence. The protection of women from domestic violence act, 2005, gives you the right to claim protection and assistance against domestic violence.
You can present an application of section 12 to magistrate seeking one or more reliefs under this act.

Agar aap sulah ke saare tarike apna chuki hain to aap talaq le sakti hain, sath hi un par maintenance (bharan-poshan) ka daawa bhi laga sakti hain. Apka rishta hi khatm ho jane se wo fir apko maarne-peetne ya dhamkaane ki himmat nahin karenge. Aur maintenance ke daawe se apni aarthik samasya bhi door ho jayegi, talaq ke baad bhi apki jab tak dusari shaadi na ho jaye unko maintenance dena padega.
AUR, agar aap fir bhi talaq nahin lena chahti hain to is baar unke khilaaf Police mein shikayat karke Thane par samjhauta na kar Court mein case chalne dijiyega. Unke khilaaf gharelu hinsa ka case darj hokar apko usase suraksha aadesh milne se wo apke sath fir maar-peet, gaali-galauj ya dhamkibaaji nahin kar payenge. Is sab ke sath bhi aap apni aarthik samasya door karne ke liye un par maintenance ka daawa laga sakti hain.
Aap Hindu hain to unka apse talaq na lekar dusari shaadi karna kanoon mein gunaah hoga aur unko jail ho sakti hai. Ye baat aap unko samjha dijiyega ki dusari shaadi karne se jail ho jayegi.
