How to get divorce if wife is not agree

23-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am 32 years old resident of Uttar Pradesh. I am an engineer and working in a private company in another state. Five years ago, I got married from the desire & emotional pressure of the family, which is very common in our area. After marriage we have never been interconnected and there is no mental and physical relationship between us till now. In the first few months of the beginning a lot of things happened so that I went mentally away. Meanwhile, there were many meetings between the people of our house but there was no solution. Now the girl is at my house and I have left home. Because of social constraints and rules, the both families are not doing anything and the time is being passed. It is not possible for me to come into this relationship and I do not want to continue this relation of the show, so I want to get rid of this relationship. For me, the whole time has stopped, I am getting away from my family and cannot do anything for anyone. If you have a solution, please suggest.

Since your wife is not willing to give divorce you can take any of the following grounds as stated under Hindu law for divorce. Adultery, Desertion, Cruelty, Impotency, Chronic Diseases any of these reasons can be applied as the case may be as a ground for divorce.
U should prefer cruelty as a ground of divorce in your case. Cruelty is a valid ground for dissolution of marriage. It is a wilful and unjustifiable conduct of a partner which leads to danger to life, limb or health, bodily or mentally. Mental cruelty can be considered in the light of norms of marital ties in the society and the social values and status.
